Inked fingerprints are not as accurate as live scan fingerprinting. Live Scan systems digitally record the pattern of ridges and valleys in your finger that make your fingerprint unique. This process is called "rolling" a fingerprint, which is done by using an inkless and grease-free optical scanning device.
While inked fingerprinting isn’t considered as accurate, plus your data is not safe with inked fingerprints. It could also get smudged.
